VIDEO: Wisefab, Speedway and a Teenage Drift Prodigy

Patrick Barlee may be only 16, but what he lacks in age he makes up for in driving experience.

With his father Alan a previous Australia Sprintcar Champion, Patrick caught the racing bug young and has been racing in some form for the last 10 years, predominantly in speedway racing in the Northern Territory.

In 2014, while waiting for his speedway event to start, Patrick experienced drifting for the first time across the road at Hidden Valley Raceway and was immediately impressed.

Using driving skills learned from years racing door to door and setup ideas adopted from the world of speedway, Patrick has adopted to drift with ease and has his eyes set on a professional career.

Drift Life caught up with Patrick ahead of qualifying for the recently held TEDA Drift State of Origin in Darwin.
